Anne Cregan has a diverse background in a range of academic disciplines. Her commercial IT background encompasses programming, business analysis, data mining and senior level management, as well as project management and co-ordination. Anne has a doctorate in Computer Science from UNSW, specialising in semantic web technologies. She has a BSc (Hons) from the University of Sydney.

Stuart Allen has worked in the IT industry in a wide variety of roles for over 15 years. He spent two years working on the Meta Access Management System (MAMS) project at Macquarie University where he was involved with the design, development, and implementation of various software projects, which are an integral part of the infrastructure of the Australian Access Federation. Stuart was also heavily involved in running technical workshops to assist institutions in the adoption of federated technologies with particular focus of the Shibboleth software suite.

Shahla has a BEng in Industrial Engineering, a MSc majoring in Information Technology – Management, and a Doctorate in Information Systems from the UNSW. Her research ranged from collaboration in multi-party software development teams, knowledge management, group conflicts, to online activism.  Shahla has worked as a business analyst in manufacturing industry and internationally as a committee member /reviewer in business and information systems conferences and journals.  Dr Joe Thurbon has a research background in logic and diagrammatic reasoning, and has practiced software engineering for almost 20 years. Immediately prior to joining Intersect, Joe worked at CISRA, Canon's Australian R&D company, researching and developing machine learning approaches to image processing problems. Joe has a BSc (Hons) from the University of Sydney in computer science and psychology, and a PhD in computer science from the University of New South Wales.

For the past ten years, Luc has worked as a programmer, technical writer, and architect of education, search, and metadata-related software in a variety of settings both locally and internationally. Peter has 27 years IT experience across a wide range of industries including medicine, banking and finance, and media. He has worked in commercial, not-for-profit and public sectors and has held various roles from Senior Software Engineer and Test Manager to Project Manager, Enterprise Architect and Business Analyst.

Ingrid has worked as a project manager, repository manager, business analyst and librarian in the university, cultural and government sectors in New Zealand and Australia. She has a Bachelor of Arts (English Literature) and Masters of Library and Information Studies (Victoria University of Wellington).

Penny has a Bachelor's Degree in IT from CSU and has recently submitted her PhD.  Her work experience spans 20 years and covers a variety of roles including business analyst, project manager, researcher and lecturer.  Penny has worked at CSU in various roles over the past 10 years. Johan brings a wide range of industry experience to Intersect after running his own software development company for 17 years. He has worked in a variety of fields including business management, livestock & agriculture, data warehousing, biometric systems and the hospitality industry. Most recently Johan worked as a senior business analyst on the International Livestock Registry at the Agricultural Business Research Institute at UNE, providing agribusiness information services to more than 80 breed associations worldwide.
