2015 saw Intersect set a record with 1,500 researcher placements in 160 eResearch training courses.  2016 promises to be even bigger with 115 researchers already trained at eight courses since the start of the year. Demand for our training is increasing and we plan to train 1,600 researchers in 2016 at various locations. What would you be interested in learning more in 2016? Take our instant survey here…

Training programs are currently in development with each member organisation and we are coordinating our training with local events such as the recent Resbaz at the University of Sydney where we delivered four courses.

Watch out for courses at your university, contact your local eResearch Analyst or check the Intersect website for course details.

We are updating our training program with some exciting new courses to be offered in 2016.  These include:

  • Introduction to Python programming

  • Python programming – Intermediate

  • Introduction to R

  • Introduction to Databases

We are also looking to offer more courses in more flexible ways including online delivery. Online courses are already offered with ten Intersect-developed training video package tutorials for using NeCTAR resources. We plan to offer new online courses later this year.

If you can gather a minimum of 20 researchers interested in a specific eResearch topic, please contact training@intersect.org.au or your local eResearch Analyst so we can help with your training needs.

Upcoming training:

  • 15 Mar 2016: “Research Data Management Techniques” at ACUEnrol now
