We're very pleased to announce that In 2016Q4 Dr Weisi Chen was promoted to Intersect eResearch Analyst at the University of Technology Sydney as we continue to engage more broadly together.
Prior to taking up this role, Weisi worked for Intersect for 3 years as an eResearch Trainer. He has a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science and Technology from the Zhejiang University and a PhD in Computer Science and Engineering from UNSW. Weisi's background includes previous experience as a casual academic/software engineer at UNSW and involvement research projects across a variety of domains including fintech.
As Intersect’s on-campus representative at UTS, Weisi works closely with the UTS eResearch team to grow the uptake of eResearch techniques and services across the University. Early this year he's coordinating a joint Proof of Concept project evaluating Openstack technology as a possible successor to ARCLab (aka the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology Cluster).
