Southern Cross University (SCU) has been a member of Intersect since 2008, and is a foundation member.
eResearch Analyst
Joe Thurbon is the SCU eResearch analyst. Joe is based on the Gold Coast, and is in Lismore regularly. He tries to make Thursday a 'Lismore day', but given sufficient notice can come on any day. He can also come to Coffs Harbour on a needs-be basis.
Joe is available for individual or group meetings, and to present seminars on all things eResearch.
Projects
Southern Cross University has been heavily involved in Intersect projects. Past projects include:
- Genomics Data Analysis: a project that helps the Centre for Plant Conservation Genomics manage their gene sequence data; and
- Entree: a project that links the DNA bank to the Atlas of Living Australia.
Projects about to commence are:
- Flow Data Flow: a project which will help Southern Cross GeoScience clean and manage time-series sensor data.
