UNSW Data Capture & Integration

This project is developing an institutional research data management service to enable capture and management of data from a diverse range of analytical instruments. The project comprises three inter-related sub-projects:

•    The UNSW Analytical Centre Data Management Service
•    The Membrane Research Environment (MemRE)
•    The Electronic Lab Notebook (ELN)

The plan is to allow the pushing of data from one service to another, whilst each sub-project is able to operate independently. MemRE and the ELN are established programs for managing research and data workflows for their specific disciplines. This work will provide additional capacity to these services for data ingestion and export to the Australian Research Data Commons.

The project is creating a user-driven service supporting a wide base - initially 10-12 research groups, building to approximately 250 groups.

This project is supported by the Australian National Data Service (ANDS). ANDS is supported by the Australian Government through the National Collaborative Research Infrastructure Strategy Program and the Education Investment Fund (EIF) Super Science Initiative.
